PAs

I wonder if ugly girls ever get hired as Personal Assistants?

*scape!

A’ite, I finally got to do some… more… graphic design/layout! Our firm entered a competition, *scape, and I ended up doing the booklet. (For some reason, “youth” seems to equal “graffiti and skateboarders.”) Here’s some excerpts:

*scape Booklet Cover

*scape Booklet Intro/Contents

*scape Urban Issues

*scape Program Explanation

*scape Plans Lvls 1-2

*I didn’t do the location plan (the image in “Urban Considerations”) or the plans (lvls 1-2), except for some minor Photoshopping.

Nothing to say

Lack of journal updates… proof that nothing’s going on in my life? proof that there’s too much? Probably both.

Baby Seals

Gary: what’s turning you off?
Gary: does he like to eat raw baby seal?
Gary: is he republican?
B: he ate wallaby one time
Gary: yeah, ya dun told me that
B: you know, i don’t know what turns me off about him
Gary: that’s not as good as baby seal
Gary: so TENDER
B: yuck
Gary: it’s like a seal party melting in my mouth!

Must make portfolio

Having to work on one’s own portfolio is a horrible, horrible fate. I’d rather jump into a surly pit of Bill O’Reilly clones. There’s just something about having to lay out, revise, and describe one’s own work that’s incredibly revolting. I mean, once I finish something, I want it to be sealed away in some Nevada salt mine—I never want to look at it again. Laying out my portfolio, not only do I have to look at my own work, I have to look at ALL of it, and then TALK about it. Arghlairoofldsfjksdfjl!
